Description

Montelobos Espadín Mezcal is an artisanal mezcal crafted in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, the heartland of traditional mezcal production. Created by renowned mezcalero Iván Saldaña, Montelobos is dedicated to expressing the true terroir of Oaxaca through sustainable practices and time-honoured methods.

Made from 100% organically grown Espadín agave, Montelobos Espadín is produced using traditional techniques that respect both heritage and environment. The agave hearts are slowly roasted in underground stone pits, crushed, naturally fermented with wild yeasts, and double distilled in copper pot stills. This meticulous process results in a mezcal that is exceptionally balanced, complex, and approachable.
