The whisky is transferred to freshly emptied Royal Brackla casks, imparting subtle new flavors during a six-month final maturation.
This commitment to quality began in 1846 with John Dewar. He pioneered a double-aging process, where single malts and grain whiskies are blended, then returned to oak casks to “marry” and achieve exceptional smoothness and consistency. This signature method is the heart of Dewar’s unique character.
