Now relaunched at a higher strength of 40%,? ?A light golden rum with a soft oak flavour. Notes of rich vanilla, buttery caramel, toasted almonds and sweet ripe banana. A dry and slightly sweet finish.
Simple cocktail recipe of Bacardi Gold:
Make sure you have these ingredients ready: 1 Part of Bacardi Gold Rum, 2 parts of cola and 2 lime wedges. To build this legendary cocktail, fill a highball glass with ice. Then squeeze 2 lime wedges over the ice and drop them into the glass. Pour in the BACARDI Gold rum followed by chilled cola, and give it all a gentle stir. Garnish with lime.
Bacardi Gold rum is manufactured in Puerto Rico where it is distilled from fermented molasses. It is then filtered through charcoal and aged in charred oak barrels for between 1 and 2 years. Unlike Bacardi Superior, Bacardi Gold is only filtered once.
Bacardi’s official logo, a fruit bat, dates to 1862 when founder Don Facundo Bacardi found fruit bats living in rafters of the building he bought to house the distillery. Bats are considered an omen of good luck in Cuba and have emblazoned Bacardi rum bottles ever since.
