Launched in 2015, this is the limited-edition cask-strength edition of Douglas Laing’s Speyside blended malt ?V Scallywag. The blend includes whisky from Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes, and is complex and powerful.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Rich and dark colour
Aroma: Richly spiced character on the nose woven through with delicious vanilla
Palate: On the big, chewy palate detect layer on layer of dark chocolate. Vanilla and sweet stewed fruit fused with spice and treacle
Douglas Laing’s Scallywag is blended malt Scotch whisky presented at cask-strength and contain a high content of alcohol 54.1% abv. Moreover, the Scallywag is made from Speyside malts, Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes. The original Scallywag preceded by the limited edition cask strength in 2013. Out-turn of 4800 bottles available worldwide. In addition,? Scallywag Cask Strength has a distinct rich, dark colour and extracted from the Spanish casks used during maturation. Lastly, the label also features a? cute Terrier which looks rather surprised!
