Owarichita is the old fashioned name for an area in Aichi prefecture famed for its natural beauty and flowing pure stream water. The term Onikoroshi is traditionally used to refer to sake that is so dry that it could kill a demon. This type of sake was originally called Chinese sake because of its extreme dry taste but using the skills that come from the traditions of the Owaricita region it has been modernised. Drink chilled, at room temperature or warm.
Tasting Notes: A Medium-dry type. Cleanses the palate yet leaves a crisp aftertaste. A rich full-bodied sake. Goes best with stronger flavoured dishes but tempura and yakitori make a good match.
