Maxime Vintage 1975 Awards
The Cognac house has caught the critic’s eye two years in a row:
New York International Spirits Competition 2016 Cognac Producer of the Year
New York International Spirits Competition 2017 Cognac Producer of the Year
Eye: Golden, with a rich mahogany hue.
Nose: Smooth with deeply intense vanilla oak notes and hints of narcissus and jasmine. This develops to cedarwood, tobacco and cigar box notes, lifted by spicier notes of nutmeg.
Palate: Great structure, rich in vanilla oak on the palate. Tastes and aromas are very well-balanced
This sublime Maxime Trijol 1975 Vintage Cognac is the synthesis of 160 years of cognac-making history from the house, as well as six generations of family passion. Every stage of the production process is managed in-house to deliver a spirit of superior quality. This millésime is a journey through time and a snapshot into the 1975 single, slow-ripened harvest, making it an excellent gift to mark a special date or anniversary.
As with all Vintage cognacs, this individually numbered bottle has been approved by the Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac to ensure absolute authenticity. This particular edition has been matured for 40 years in Limousin oak barrels, bringing forth an exceptional depth of flavor.
Harnessing both the maritime climate and the Fine Bois’s combination of clay, stone and limestone soil, this cognac is characteristically well-rounded and supple. This sensorial journey starts with intense, oak-enveloped vanilla accords, with lighter notes of narcissus and jasmine. It later develops into the third rancio stage, where subtle hints of cedarwood, tobacco and cigar boxes join spicier notes of nutmeg.
