Crafted by DEWAR’S master blender, Stephanie Macleod, DEWAR’S 15 undergoes a unique maturation process in sherry and bourbon casks. After blending, it is reintroduced to specially selected oak casks for an extended period, resulting in enhanced smoothness and a protracted, lingering finish. Aptly named “The Monarch” in homage to Sir Edwin Landseer’s iconic 1851 painting, “The Monarch of the Glen,” acquired by John Dewar’s and Sons in 1916.
This refined blend unfolds a palate of intricate flavors, including notes of honey and golden toffee, creating a warm and complex profile. Succulent exotic fruits intermingle with subtle hints of coconut and vanilla, while citrus and green apple notes provide a refreshing contrast. The bouquet is adorned with delicate and exquisitely scented floral aromas.
